  • 1. Headline Instructions

    The headline lies just under your Photo which ideally should be a professional headshot ● It’s the No 1# priority search field in LinkedIn for Google.

    Construct a headline with searchable key words your audience uses in searches to find you. Be sure to think of different words people may use to describe the same thing. Usually searches are by ‘expertise by location’. The headline also communicates your brand positioning.

    You have 120 characters. Start each word with a capital letter to make it easier to read. If appropriate, break it into sections, using symbols [copy and paste the bullet point ● ]. You can include your job title. Also, because LinkedIn will shorten your headline, make sure your priority keywords are positioned in the first 70-character spaces.
